Morning Baseline Report

This page explains the email you receive after wearing your Garmin overnight and syncing with DreamDoc.

When this email is sent

The morning baseline email is sent after DreamDoc receives a valid main sleep from Garmin and enough night data to interpret it. It is only emailed when the myBaselines / Body Baselines app is connected and email is enabled.

Why it may arrive later

  • Garmin sleep data can sync later than waking time.
  • DreamDoc waits for useful night coverage before reporting.
  • If the phone link is missing, open Garmin Connect and keep the watch nearby.
  • If data stays incomplete, DreamDoc may send a sync reminder instead.

What the email sections mean

Email section What it shows How to use it
Headline A short summary such as “A better night than your normal”. Start here. It tells you the main direction of the night.
Sleep duration Total sleep and your usual range. See whether last night was shorter, normal or longer than your own pattern.
HRV Overnight heart-rate variability in ms. Higher than usual can indicate better recovery; lower can indicate activation or strain.
Sleeping HR Average sleeping heart rate versus your personal range. Higher than usual can be a recovery warning, especially together with stress or low HRV.
Stress Overnight Garmin stress level. Lower is usually better. High stress can mean the body did not settle well overnight.
Respiration Night respiration rate versus your normal range. Useful when it changes together with heart rate, stress or sleep disruption.
Overnight recovery A short interpretation of whether the night brought you down into recovery. Use this as the practical takeaway for training, workload or rest planning.

What “usual range” means

DreamDoc compares you with your own history, not with other people. The report asks: was last night normal for you?

It uses short-term recent nights, a longer personal baseline window, and your stronger historical nights. This helps separate a normal variation from a meaningful change.

Important

The email is not a diagnosis. It is a structured explanation of Garmin sleep/body signals so you can see recovery changes earlier and with more context.

How to react to the email

Good / stronger night

Use the day normally. It may be a good day for training, demanding work or progress checks.

Mixed night

Look at the combination. One weaker signal is less important than several signals moving together.

Limited recovery

Consider lower load, more breaks, hydration, earlier bedtime, or checking if illness/stress is developing.
