Legal Requirements, Approvals & User Consent

This page summarizes the main legal, data protection, medical disclaimer, and user consent requirements for using DreamDoc applications, wearable integrations, and related digital services.

By creating an account, connecting a supported wearable device, or using DreamDoc services, you confirm that you understand and accept the conditions described below, together with our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and any applicable app-store terms.

1. Age Restriction

DreamDoc is intended for users aged 18 years and older.

By creating an account or using the app, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms. If you do not meet this age requirement, you must not create an account or use the app.

2. Data Privacy and Health-Related Data

DreamDoc processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where applicable.

Because DreamDoc may process wearable signals, readiness data, sleep-related data, HRV, heart rate, stress metrics, respiration, activity data, recovery indicators, symptoms, or other health-related information, some data may qualify as sensitive or special-category data under applicable law.

Before using such features, you may be asked to provide explicit consent for the processing of health-related data. You can withdraw your consent with future effect, but this may limit or prevent the use of certain DreamDoc functions.

Further details are provided in our Privacy Policy.

3. Data Processing Consent

By using DreamDoc and connecting supported devices or services, you consent, where required, to the collection, processing, storage, and analysis of data necessary to provide the app and its features.

This may include, depending on the functions you use:

  • heart rate and heart-rate-related signals
  • HRV and beat-to-beat-related data, where available
  • stress, respiration, sleep, activity, steps, recovery, and training-related data
  • reaction time and readiness test results
  • baseline calculations and trend history
  • profile information such as age, height, weight, gender, and fitness level, where voluntarily provided
  • daily context, symptoms, food intake, recovery actions, or notes, where voluntarily entered
  • technical app and device information required for operation, diagnostics, security, and reliability

DreamDoc uses this data to provide personalized summaries, readiness and recovery views, baseline tracking, fatigue and trend indicators, and related self-awareness features.

4. Purpose of Processing

DreamDoc processes data for the following purposes:

  • to create and manage your user account
  • to connect supported wearable devices, sensors, or third-party services
  • to calculate personal baselines, readiness summaries, recovery indicators, and trend views
  • to provide app, watch, dashboard, and platform functionality
  • to help users better understand fatigue, recovery, training load, sleep patterns, and daily capacity
  • to provide pre-assessment, follow-up, or post-treatment support features where enabled
  • to maintain technical security, prevent misuse, fix errors, and improve service reliability
  • to comply with applicable legal obligations

DreamDoc does not sell your personal data and does not use your health-related data for advertising targeting.

5. User Control, Access, Export, and Deletion

You remain in control of your account data. Where available, DreamDoc provides options to access, export, correct, or delete personal data through the app or account settings.

You may also request deletion of your account and associated personal data. After account deletion, DreamDoc will delete or anonymize personal data unless legal retention obligations require longer storage.

If you withdraw consent for health-related data processing, certain features may no longer be available because they depend on the processing of wearable, readiness, baseline, or context data.

6. Third-Party Integrations and Wearable Devices

DreamDoc may integrate with supported wearable devices, sensors, data platforms, or third-party services. This may include Garmin Connect IQ applications, compatible wearable devices, heart-rate sensors, glucose-data integrations, or other supported services, depending on the product version and your configuration.

Where such integrations are used, additional third-party terms, permissions, device requirements, and privacy policies may apply. DreamDoc is not responsible for the independent data processing practices of third-party providers.

Data submitted to the DreamDoc app or DreamDoc platform is processed by DreamDoc according to our Privacy Policy and the consent choices you provide.

7. Terms of Use and End User License Agreement

Before accessing or using DreamDoc features, you may be required to accept the applicable Terms of Use, End User License Agreement, app-store terms, or product-specific conditions.

These terms may include rules on account use, user responsibilities, permitted and prohibited activities, intellectual property rights, software licensing, service availability, liability limitations, and termination of access.

If you do not agree to the applicable terms, you must not use the app or related DreamDoc services.

8. Medical Disclaimer

DreamDoc is not a medical device unless explicitly stated for a specific regulated product version. DreamDoc does not provide medical diagnosis, medical treatment, emergency care, or a substitute for professional medical advice.

Any summaries, signals, recommendations, baseline views, readiness indicators, fatigue indicators, recovery insights, or wellness-related information provided by DreamDoc are for informational and self-awareness purposes only.

You should consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical questions, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment decisions, medication changes, or health concerns. In case of an emergency, contact emergency medical services immediately.

9. No Guarantee of Accuracy or Outcomes

DreamDoc uses data from wearable devices, sensors, user inputs, algorithms, and software systems. Such data may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, unavailable, or affected by device limitations, sensor quality, user behavior, connectivity, or technical issues.

DreamDoc does not guarantee that all insights, summaries, calculations, baseline views, or recommendations will be complete, accurate, uninterrupted, or suitable for every individual situation.

You remain responsible for your own decisions, training choices, recovery actions, health-related behavior, and use of the information provided by the app.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, DreamDoc and its providers are not liable for damages resulting from improper use of the app, misinterpretation of information, reliance on non-medical insights, technical interruptions, third-party service failures, device inaccuracies, connectivity problems, or loss of data.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where liability cannot legally be limited, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, or mandatory statutory liability.

11. Security Standards

DreamDoc uses technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

These measures may include encrypted data transfer using SSL/TLS, secure server and database communication, access control, regular security updates, monitoring, logging, data minimization, and operational safeguards.

No digital system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for keeping their own devices, accounts, passwords, and connected services secure.

12. Prohibited Use

You must not use DreamDoc for illegal, fraudulent, abusive, harmful, or malicious activities.

Prohibited use includes, but is not limited to:

  • attempting to access accounts, systems, data, or services without authorization
  • interfering with app security, server infrastructure, or platform operations
  • submitting false, misleading, unlawful, or harmful content
  • using the app to make emergency, diagnosis, treatment, or medication decisions without professional medical supervision
  • reverse engineering, copying, reselling, or exploiting the software beyond permitted use
  • using the app in violation of applicable laws or third-party rights

Violations may result in suspension or termination of access and may be reported to competent authorities where legally required or appropriate.

13. Updates to Legal Requirements

DreamDoc may update these legal requirements, consent rules, disclaimers, or related documents from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, laws, app-store rules, third-party integrations, or business operations.

If material changes are made, we will inform users through appropriate channels, such as the app, website, account notice, or email where applicable.
